UPSC Central Armed Police Forces Assistant Commandant (AC) Examination 2013

Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) is inviting application from eligible candidates for the recruitment of Assistant Commandant in Central Armed Police Forces i.e. Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserved Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibten Border Police (ITBP), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Assistant Commandant is a Group 'A' post in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).

SELECTION PROCESS for ASSISTANT COMMANDANT

Candidates will be required to appear in the written examination for AC, those who qualify in the AC written examination conducted by the UPSC will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test. Candidates, who qualify in the PET for AC will appear for the interview and personality test. Those who qualify the interview and personality test for Assistant Commandant will undergo a medical examination. After all these process a final merit will be prepared.

EXAMINATION PATTERN amd SYLLABUS for ASSISTANT COMMANDANT
Paper I General Ability & Intelligence 250 marks
Paper II General Studies, Essay & Comprehension 200 marks

General Ability & Intelligence: General Mental Ability, General Science, Indian polity and Economy, National and International Current affairs, Indian History, Geography of India and the world.

General Studies, Essay & Comprehension:
Part I: Essay question on general topics, answerable in narrative form with total marks of 80.
Part II: Comprehension, Precise writing and other communication skills test for English with total marks of 120.
